Well, probably many of you despise AI, and for good reason. I agree with the unethical approach by big data.
But, I have been dreaming of an in-between assistant for animation for about 20 years. After months of digging through the open source field of generative video AI I found a model and tool (Wan 2.1 & VACE) that can assist in the creation of in-betweens and after rigorous experimentation I am approaching a workflow that lets me focus on the creative things instead of setting up the technology.
My goal is to mix concept art and the interesting visual style of 2D animation, puppet animation, parallax and other kinds of semi-3d animatic art, because it tickles my brain in a specific way.
